The Pepenbury Community provides people with a range of learning and over disabilities a safe and supportive place to live and enjoy a fulfilling life.
Many people with disabilities within the community also have access to Day Services at Pepenbury were they can take part in a range of activities which help to increase both their physical and mental wellbeing.

Pepenbury operates 17 homes within the local community providing residential care, supported living and day services for people with learning and other disabilities.
The charity also offers training in life and work skills, building confidence and self esteem.  The charity also manages a respite care home providing short stay respite service enabling a break for full time carers.

Pepenbury strives to enhance the independence, potential and quality of life, for adults with learning disabilities or other associated issues.
The charity caters for a diverse range of people including those with particularly complex needs and challenging behaviour offering round-the-clock support.
Pepenbury organises a programme of active and entertaining events throughout the year including; art exhibitions, sports days, family treasure hunts, a May fair, a Golf Day, and a Bluebell walk.
The charity also runs a gardening project growing fresh produce and plants for our on-site farm shop and café which are open to the public.

As a charity we rely on the support of the local community, donations and volunteer’s generous donations of time, expertise and experience to continue our achievements and grow in order to improve the lives of more people with disabilities.

Pepenbury offers the following Services & Charitable Activities.

  1. Registered Care Provider: An independent registered care provider for people with learning disabilities, Pepenbury provides quality accommodation and care for over 80 residents with specialist care needs.
  2. Promoting independent living:  Promoting independent living and providing home support through our domiciliary care agency MOST which provides 24 hour care for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments who live within their own home.
  3. Day Services provision: Pepenbury operates day services which aim to provide a range of meaningful and fulfilling activities which meet the individual needs of people with disabilities, and help them develop and express themselves in a positive way.
  4. Respite Care: Pepenbury manages a respite care home offering respite care for up to six people.
  5. Therapeutic gardening: The Primrose project is based on an allotment site at Rusthall and offers people with disabilities the opportunity to grow their own fruit, vegetables and flowers gardening opportunities for people with
  6. Training for Work: A programme which helps people with learning and other disabilities learn the skills needed to live an independent life, giving them the opportunity to develop important skills in a hands-on practical way; helping them deal with their issues and have more control over their lives.
  7. Volunteering opportunities: Pepenbury offers a wide range of volunteering opportunities and initiatives for people including helping in the charity shop, coffee shop, with catering, gardening, driving, admin, and health & social care.
